Position Description:
Plaza Tire Service is dedicated to providing an exemplary customer experience. The functions performed in the corporate office are designed to facilitate a strong business environment for all stores as well as the company’s wholesale division.

We are currently accepting applications for the role of Operations Support Specialist, a full-time position with benefits. The selected candidate will work in Plaza Tire Service’s corporate office in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The Operations Support Specialist will work closely with managers of select departments to make day-to-day operations more efficient, as well as provide backup coverage when department managers are absent. The successful candidate will possess technical capacity, collaboration skills, communication proficiency and flexibility. The ability to multi-task and prioritize projects is essential to success.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with select managers to develop a general understanding of day-to-day tasks.
• Follow the direction of managers to assume responsibility for specific recurring tasks.
• Take ownership of assigned activities and report progress to managers on a regular basis.
• Look for opportunities to improve efficiencies in assigned projects.
• Develop protocols to create consistency moving forward.
• Serve as point of contact in absence of manager(s).
• Work with managers on special projects as needed.
• Handle confidential and proprietary information.
• Work independently and within a team on special projects and ongoing activities.
• Accept and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Complete tasks as assigned.

Applicant Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or higher education level preferred
• Two years of administrative or operations experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
• Proficiency with common software applications, including the Microsoft suite of products
• Familiarity/experience with Wordpress website content management system a plus
• Familiarity/experience with SQL a plus
